I have been making up my list of gifts for people and trying to decide what to make and what to buy. I don’t have as much time as I used to so probably a little of both. For those of you in the same fix I have a little Holiday fun. In my Etsy store for a LIMITED TIME you can purchase three of my patterns for $11.00 This will allow you to get a few more patterns…

New Pattern E-mail List
Thanks to my “Marketing Technologist” husband I now have an e-mail list set up for new pattern releases. If you would like to receive e-mail notification when I release a new pattern and ONLY when I release a new pattern you can sign up in the left hand column. I don’t plan on releasing more than one pattern a month and it will most likely be more like every two months. Make sure you confirm after you have entered your e-mail!

My Yarn is NOT Just for Me
Who else would yarn be for than someone who wants to create something with it? A cat maybe? Or a toddler looking for a good time? Yes my son likes to pull my yarn between his toes while I knit making my skein into a giant knot that I have to untangle later. I finally gave up and handed him an old ball of acrylic yarn. He has been playing with it for forty-five minutes or so (a long time for a two year old). Anyway here is a photo. My husband working on my web analytics and my son knotting yarn. They are both so helpful! Now I have…

What to Do!
A little more background on Britta Lalena. I have been so inspired lately by Anthropologie and the new BoHo trend that has been hitting the streets. Headwraps are in and I LOVE it. I love hats but because of how much hair I have my head tends to overheat. I love headwraps because they leave some room for airflow and also keep your ears warm. Due to how much earlier it gets dark I have been forced to take my pictures indoors. I love how this shot turned out thanks to a LR action by Amanda Keeys. Seems reminiscent of Great Gatsby. I can’t wait to get my hands on some more…

Britta Lalena Headwrap!
Here it is! The new pattern I have been keeping a secret from my two readers 😉 I have so enjoyed this process it has been a wonderful experience but it feels good to have the patten up for sale finally. Thank you to all my test knitters. I will be sending something new your way soon! This was inspired by the scarf headwraps that are popular now. I wanted to create something that was similar to fabric but was knitted. I also love lace and the combination turned out to be a lot of fun! Britta Lalena Here are some more pictures! Also I LOVE MALABRIGO SOCK!

Inspiration
I have been working my poor little wrists to death with custom orders. Here are a few pictures. The first one is in Naural and the second in Chapel Stone colorway. And just for fun here are a few pictures of some outfits I have been checking out on a Japanese site. I get a lot of my inspiration from Japanese fashion. My goal is to be able to buy direct from Japan at this point I am to afraid of the shipping costs! Let me know what you think!
