PALM
I have many sources for inspiration. As many of you have noticed Japanese Fashion is one of the main sources. When my sister recently returned from a year of leaving in Japan she brought back with her a Japanese Fashion magazine/book. It was titled PALM and I was instantly in love. You may remember “the girl in the terrarium” photo, that was the cover of the latest PALM issue. I have been trying to get my hands on the latest issue but the website is in Japanese so I couldn’t figure out how to purchase it. I went out on a limb and contacted the magazine directly and they are…

Earring Merge
So while I am testing patterns there is a bit of a lull. So, I decided to take two pairs of earrings and merge them into one. I took a 3.00 pair of earrings from Walmart and a 5.00 pair of peacock feather earrings from Forever 21. I kept the findings from the peacock earrings and combined brass loops and feathers for this result. I will get pictures of them in action soon. $8.00 total I am so in love with these!

Happy Valentines!
So today for Valentines Day I stayed home with my three sick children. Only to discover that I am also sick. However it allowed me some time to get started on GLOVES! I am using Frog and Toad Sock yarn from SKEIN yarns this color-way is called “Ginko” It is definitely my favorite so far but I am a sucker for dark green and dark turquoise. I hope your day was lovely!

One More SKEIN
Well five more really. I am working on some designs for spring/summer some lighter head wraps more along the lines of the Lacy Head Wrap. I have been loving my yarns from SKEIN. Here are some pictures. I will be posting pictures of the head wraps as soon as they are ready for testing. Also, due to the snow, I have been needing more green things around the house. I usually buy more plants this time of year just to help me keep my sanity. I bought several beautiful mint plants. My favorite is Chocolate Mint and yes it does smell like chocolate! I made a terrarium for the center…

Make Hay Lacy Headwrap
So I made myself a Lacy Headwrap (Britta Lalena Headwrap) out of the Skein Yarns I bought. I now have quite a collection. I think I will do a photo shoot to show them off in the near future. Anyway…I digress. I used the frog and toad sock yarn in color-way “Make Hay While the Sun Shines” I added half of the chart or the first three rows of the repeat to make it just a little bit looser. I LOVE how it turned out. Let me know what you think. The rest of this photo shoot I named “Sunspots” I am sure you can see why.
